It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Doniphan West can now relate to. They fell 62-51 to the Moundridge Wildcats on Saturday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Moundridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hattie Hecox led the charge by shooting 70% from the field en route to 19 points and five boards. What's more, Hecox also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cammi Unruh, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 13 points and three blocks.

Doniphan West's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Moundridge, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

As of now, neither Doniphan West nor Moundridge have any future games scheduled.
