Football Recap: Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines vs. Lansdowne Vikings
Western Tech & Environmental Science extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lansdowne Vikings. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Lansdowne's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Daion Wheeler was his usual excellent self, picking up 129 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Tech & Environmental Science will take on Pikesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
