Preview: Covert Bulldogs vs. New Buffalo Bison
Covert has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the New Buffalo Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Covert suffered a rough 87-67 defeat at the hands of Eau Claire.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, New Buffalo beat Countryside Academy 55-49 on Wednesday. The win was just what New Buffalo needed coming off of a 67-45 defeat in their prior game.
New Buffalo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Forker led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elliott Bourne, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Covert's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for New Buffalo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.
