It's playoff time, and Doyle had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past Winnfield 14-4 on Wednesday. Doyle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 21 contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Doyle, bringing their record up to 25-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Winnfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18-1 record this season.

Doyle will face off against Sterlington on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 4, the Panthers 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Winnfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
