Volleyball Recap: Hickory Ridge's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Hickory Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cox Mill Chargers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss back in September.

While Hickory Ridge had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Hickory Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Cox Mill, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hickory Ridge will take on Porter Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cox Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
