Basketball Game Preview: Bishop's Knights vs. San Diego Cavers

Having just played yesterday, the Bishop's Knights will jump right back in to play the San Diego Cavers at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bishop's will head into Friday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 30) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Madison 57-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since January 20th.

While San Diego didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 69-43 victory on Friday. The Cavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for San Diego, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.5 points. As for Bishop's, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Bishop's barely slipped by San Diego in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, winning 63-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
