Legend is 7-2 against Douglas County since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Titans are taking a road trip to face off against the Huskies at 4:15 p.m. Legend is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Monday, Legend came up short against Mountain Vista and fell 6-3.

Legend saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Brush, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Brush has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Douglas County suffered their closest loss since March 17th on Monday. They fell just short of Regis Jesuit by a score of 7-5. The Huskies have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Zander Tomczak was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gunnar Tinari made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Spencer Sharp was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Legend's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Douglas County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Legend hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Douglas County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Legend was able to grind out a solid victory over Douglas County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
