Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Valley Christian can now relate to. They lost to the Oakland Wildcats at home by a 59-45 margin on Tuesday. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Oakland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rohm Neal, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Romyn Waugh, who put up ten points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Oakland, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-8.

Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakland, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Oakland Wildcats face off against Destiny Christian Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in their favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
