Preview: Larimore Polar Bears vs. Midway/Minto Mustangs
Larimore is on a five-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Midway/Minto a four-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Larimore Polar Bears will be home for the holidays to greet the Midway/Minto Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Larimore kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 57-50 to North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina]. Larimore has struggled against North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Larimore had strong showings from Jace Collison, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Michael Myers, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Gratton, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Midway/Minto ended up a good deal behind Cavalier last Friday and lost 67-51.
