Baseball Game Preview: Isle of Wight Academy Chargers vs. Windsor Dukes

The Isle of Wight Academy Chargers will head out to challenge the Windsor Dukes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Isle of Wight Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Greenbrier Christian Academy on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Gators. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Chargers haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Windsor suffered their closest loss since March 22, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Sussex Central by a score of 9-7. The Dukes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isle of Wight Academy moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
