Volleyball Recap: Rocklin Takes a Loss

Rocklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oak Ridge Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Rocklin wouldn't go down easily and took Oak Ridge into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-10, 20-25, 15-12.

Rocklin's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Oak Ridge, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-1.

Rocklin has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Granite Bay on the 9th. As for Oak Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Davis Sr. on the 9th.
