Halstead put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Douglass Bulldogs 28-1. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaci Young was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Halstead got a massive performance out of Thea Boese, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Onnyka Nedich was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Halstead kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive games.

Halstead pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Douglass, they moved to 5-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Halstead beat the Bulldogs by a score of 15-0 later that day.
