Baseball Recap: Priory Takes a Loss

Priory came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Brentwood Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Thursday.

Anthony Beffa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Miles Anstey was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Priory's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brentwood, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Priory is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Burroughs at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brentwood, they will face off against Crystal City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brentwood is facing Crystal City at the right time seeing as Crystal City is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
