Volleyball Recap: Gloucester Dukes vs. Menchville Monarchs        
        
		
             After a string of four wins, Gloucester's good fortune finally ran out  on Wednesday. They came up short against  the Menchville Monarchs, falling  3-0. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Dukes in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now lost eight in a row.
 The final score came out to 25-17, 25-6,  25-15.
 Menchville was led to victory by  Carloline Clements and  Emma Wade.  Clements  had nine  aces, seven  kills,  and seven  digs, while  Wade  had seven  digs, four  aces,  and a  kill. Those nine  aces gave  Clements a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lillian Abbitt, who  had seven  digs, five  kills,  and two  aces.
 Gloucester's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-9. As for Menchville, their victory was  their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 16-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gloucester will stay at home for another  game and welcome Heritage at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Menchville, they will challenge Woodside at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
