Football Game Preview: Southridge Skyhawks vs. Sunset Apollos

Southridge is 0-7 against Sunset since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Skyhawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Apollos at 7:00 p.m. Southridge has given up an average of 32.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Southridge had to suffer through a 41-7 loss at the hands of Mountainside. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Mavericks are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Sunset was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 22-16 to Westview. The contest marked the Apollos' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sunset, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
