If Lakeland Preparatory was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lausanne Collegiate on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the Northpoint Christian Trojans on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While Lakeland Preparatory was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 25-16.

Tess Terpstra paced Lakeland Preparatory's offense, picking up four kills. Terpstra got some help from Emma Morgan and her four assists. Ella Burd controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northpoint Christian was led to victory by Skylar Morris and Lucca Bramlett. Morris had 15 digs and three assists, while Bramlett had five aces. That's the most assists Morris has posted since back in August of 2024.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-5. As for Northpoint Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Lakeland Preparatory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Houston on the 5th. As for Northpoint Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Dyer County on the 6th.
