Wilbur Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the North Haven Nighthawks. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Governors' highest-scoring contest to date.

Yadiel Santiago made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Wilbur Cross' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Haven, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilbur Cross will head out to challenge Hillhouse at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Haven, they will venture away from home to square off against Danbury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Nighthawks are facing the Hatters at the right time seeing as the Hatters are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
