Forest Grove piles up the points against Century

Recap: Forest Grove Vikings vs. Century Jaguars

The Forest Grove Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Century, posting a 78-49 win at home. Forest Grove has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Century's loss came despite strong showings from Kami Carmean and Olivia Ervin. Carmean scored 18 points, while Ervin dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ervin has scored all season.

Forest Grove's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Century, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Grove won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Liberty at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th. Liberty will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Forest Grove is ranked eighth). As for Century, they will head out on the road to face off against Newberg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Newberg is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
