Football Game Preview: George Washington Prep Generals vs. Dorsey Dons

The George Washington Prep Generals will head out to take on the Dorsey Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. George Washington Prep's defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so Dorsey's offense will have their work cut out for them.

George Washington Prep took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Maywood CES as they made off with a 27-6 victory. With the Generals ahead 21-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Dorsey was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 17-16 to King/Drew. The Dons were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Golden Eagles in the fourth quarter 8-0.

George Washington Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.2 points over those games. As for Dorsey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

George Washington Prep took a serious blow against Dorsey when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 33-0. Thankfully for the Generals, Brandon Tolson (who threw for 236 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
