Softball Recap: Morgan Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Morgan can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Ogden Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Tigers back in March, they had to take a 6-4 defeat.

Addyson Cragun was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last nine matchups. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Joesi Kelly was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Kassidy Wardell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Morgan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Ogden, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

As of now, neither Morgan nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
