It was a good run, but Brookland unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Batesville Pioneers by a score of 7-6. If the Bearcats were looking for revenge after losing 7-6 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brookland's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Batesville, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.

Brookland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Batesville, they are taking a road trip to take on Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
