Volleyball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Poly Parrots, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Parrots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Stephon Aragon, who had 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave him a new career-high.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Poly, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Monroe will take on Arleta at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Poly, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Cimarron-Memorial on the 4th.
