Cocke County entered their tilt with Carter on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Green Hornets a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Cocks, who have now won 20 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Brooklyn Strange was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Niethammer, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Cocke County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 13 consecutive matches.

Cocke County pushed their record up to 23-3-1 with the victory, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Carter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Cocke County has already played their next contest (against Grainger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Carter, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Seymour at 6:00 p.m. The Green Hornets are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
