Volleyball Preview: Canutillo Eagles vs. Andress Eagles        
        
		
             The Canutillo Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Andress Eagles  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Canutillo is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 On Tuesday,  everything went Canutillo's way against Austin as Canutillo made off with  a  3-0 victory.
 The  3-0 doesn't show just how dominant Canutillo was: they took every set by at least 14 points. After all that action, the final score was 25-5, 25-11,  25-11.
 Canutillo's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Andrea Guerrero, who  had eight  aces and four  digs, and   Xochitl Apodaca, who  had 15  digs and seven  aces. The dominant performance gave  Apodaca a new career-high in  aces.
 Canutillo  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 27  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Andress posted their biggest  win since September 22, 2023 last Tuesday. They blew past Loretto 3-0.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17,  25-10.
 Canutillo is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-16 record  this season. As for Andress, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
