Basketball Recap: Ben Davis Falls Despite Big Games from Shania Curry and Aubri Ingram

Ben Davis's tournament run continued when they took on Charlestown on Friday. The Ben Davis Giants took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Charlestown Pirates.

Aubri Ingram and Shania Curry certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ingram posted 11 points and three steals, while Curry earned four points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Martin, who had eight points.

Even though they lost, Ben Davis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Ben Davis' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Charlestown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
