Volleyball Game Preview: Wynot Blue Devils vs. Paxton Tigers

The Wynot Blue Devils will take on the Paxton Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wynot will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Wynot got the win against Wausa by a conclusive 3-0.

Wynot not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wausa between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-17.

Kiera Heimes was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs.

Wynot was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Paxton came up short against Hitchcock County on Monday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Wynot's victory bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Paxton, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 17-13.
