The biggest upset of the week belonged to Everman, who took down 227th ranked Everman, 59-41.
Cleburne moved up to 227 from 279 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region I District 8. The Yellowjackets climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Bulldogs 59-41.
Chris Stafford was the best wideout in the league this week as Everman fell to Cleburne. Stafford racked up five receptions for 110 yards. Derrion Alexander helped Everman's passing attack out by catching three balls for 46 yards.
Matt Marner put up the best numbers through the air as Crowley beat University. He finished with a total of seven completions for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Marner's favorite target this week was Khalil Washington, who caught three passes for 65 yards.
Christian Simms was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 347 yards on 23 carries as Waco lost to Jeff Merket's team. Teammate Ricky Williamson added to the ground attack by rushing for 21 yards.
The Lions' Traynham Moore and Darron Jefferson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Region I District 8 in both passing and receiving yards. Moore has thrown for 1427 yards this season, while Jefferson has 17 catches for 458 yards. Larry Cheeks from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 1551 yards.
The Bulldogs' Reggie Kincaid is a mere 69 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 133 carries Kincaid has accumulated 931 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Trojans take on the Yellowjackets. At the moment, University is in fourth, while Cleburne is in third.
Crowley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Matt Carroll's team, 49-0. The win marks eighth in a row for the Chris James' team.
