Basketball Recap: Kaplan Comes Up Short

Kaplan lost against Abbeville two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kaplan Pirates had to suffer through a 64-27 loss at the hands of the Abbeville Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 121st).

This is the second loss in a row for Kaplan and nudges their season record down to 3-28. As for Abbeville, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 28-15.

Kaplan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-32 loss against St. Martinville on the 14th. Abbeville has also already played their next match (against Grand Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
