Volleyball Recap: Bayside Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Gulf Breeze

Bayside Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Gulf Breeze. The Admirals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins. The Admirals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dolphins from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Bayside Academy's offense was headlined by Haley Robinson and Farrah Lane, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Sophie Hester and her ten assists. Lane was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Allie Hepworth, who had five kills, five digs, and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last three contests. Another player making a difference was Brylee Pinkston, who had seven digs and three aces.

Bayside Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Gulf Breeze, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Bayside Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Prattville on the 30th. As for Gulf Breeze, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Spanish Fort on the 30th.
