Baseball Recap: St. Paul Finds Home Field Redemption Against Plymouth

There's no place like home for St. Paul, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Plymouth Big Red get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Flyers: when they faced off against the Big Red on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

The result came thanks to Alex Marsh's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Paul is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, St. Paul saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Fries, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

St. Paul now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Plymouth, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul will face off against Huron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plymouth, they will challenge Buckeye Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
