Recap: Orleans Bulldogs vs. Lanesville Eagles
The Orleans Bulldogs stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Lanesville 60-23 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Orleans who now have seven in a row.
Orleans' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Alston, who scored 12 points along with five steals. Alston has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Rylan Crocker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Orleans is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Lanesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orleans will challenge Perry Central on Saturday. Perry Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Orleans is ranked 80th). As for Lanesville, Lanesville and Clarksville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
