Taylor County's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Branford Buccaneers by a score of 5-1. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won three in a row.

Tallyn Harden looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.

At the plate, Ethan Tuten and Drayden Flowers did most of the damage at the plate: Tuten went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run, while Flowers got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those doubles were Tuten's first of the season.

Taylor County's record now sits at 4-1. As for Branford, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Taylor County will venture away from home to square off against Tiftarea Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Branford, they will head out to face off against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
