Volleyball Recap: Valentine vs. Perkins County Plainsmen

After flying high against Bayard on Monday, Valentine came back down to earth. Valentine came up short against the Perkins County Plainsmen on Monday, falling 3-0. Valentine was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Perkins County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-18.

Valentine's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Olena Felton, who had 16 digs, and Danika Janssen, who had ten digs, five kills, and a block. Janssen has been hot recently, having posted five or more kills the last three times she's played.

Perkins County was led to victory by Emily Cornelius and Sydney Bottom. Cornelius had eight digs and two aces, while Bottom had four digs and 18 assists.
