Daleron Thomas leads Omaha Central to victory over Skutt Catholic

The Omaha Central Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 49-42 victory over Skutt Catholic. That's another feather in the cap for Omaha Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Daleron Thomas, who scored 16 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of DaShawn Prince, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Omaha Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Skutt Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Omaha Central will challenge the Dragons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Gretna knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully the Eagles likes a good challenge. As for Skutt Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against the Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bennington is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
