Preview: Adelanto vs. Newbury Park
The Adelanto Saints will face off against the Newbury Park Panthers at TBD on Friday. Adelanto's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Adelanto walked away with it. They came out on top against the Huskies on Wednesday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Adelanto hit South Hills with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Andrew Lopez,
Ishmael Baez, and
Julian Valdez.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Newbury Park ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Downey and snuck past 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Newbury Park who now have three in a row.
Adelanto's victory bumped their record up to 12-10-6. As for Newbury Park, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9-2.
