Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Big Blue vs. Badin Rams

The Hamilton Big Blue and the Badin Rams will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Hamilton came up short against Lakota East and fell 59-48. While losing is never fun, the Big Blue can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Badin's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summit Country Day. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Silver Knights 10-6 in the first quarter.

Badin's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Hamilton beat Badin 46-35 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Hamilton repeat their success, or does Badin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
