CLEARFIELD, Utah - the Braves had a big 23-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 44-0 victory over Clearfield (Utah).
Bountiful scored on a touchdown run by
Houston Heimuli, a defensive touchdown and a
Jordan Hayes touchdown pass to
Tanner Redding in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, BHS led 30-0 at the half.
The Braves expanded their lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. Bountiful scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
A 34-7 Bountiful victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Braves, who were coming off a 10-3 defeat at the hands of Logan in its previous game.
