Baseball Recap: Frankfort Comes Up Short

Frankfort fell victim to Fairfield and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0. The Hot Dogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Frankfort saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lalo Castillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Frankfort has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Fairfield, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Frankfort will head out on the road to square off against Crawfordsville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfield, they will head out to challenge Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
