Baseball Game Preview: East Hampton Bellringers vs. Rockville Rams

The East Hampton Bellringers will head out on the road to face off against the Rockville Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Hampton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Coginchaug Regional on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Bellringers have beaten the Blue Devils on their field since May 19, 2021.

Travis Raines tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Dewhurst, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Another player making a difference was Colton Chrin, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

The Rams have beaten the Panthers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

East Hampton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Rockville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
