Football Recap: Coleville Wolves vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles
Coleville lost against Lone Pine back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolves had to suffer through a 58-22 loss at the hands of the Golden Eagles.
Lone Pine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gustavo Caro out in front who rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Caro didn't just play on offense: he also made 11 total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Tommy Fogarty was another key signal caller, throwing for 203 yards and four TDs.
Coleville's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lone Pine, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coleville will host Owyhee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
