Soccer Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lincoln couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Carter Ferguson, which was the first he's scored this season.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Mahomet-Seymour, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-2.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will host Beardstown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they have already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Effingham on the 23rd.
