Bulloch Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 49-20 win over the Portal Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row dating back to last season.

Bulloch Academy was led to victory by Sam Hubbard and Danye Garvin. Hubbard rushed for 94 yards, while Garvin rushed for 113 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bulloch Academy will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Claxton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Portal, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
