Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian suffered their biggest loss since February 2nd on Monday. They were outmatched by the Fayetteville Academy Eagles and fell 81-34. The Patriots have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Faith Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Fayetteville Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will head out to face off against Rocky Mount Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayetteville Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wayne Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fayetteville Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Wayne Country Day likes a good challenge.
