While Weir's victory against Brooke wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Riders had just enough and edged out the Bruins 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Riders have posted since April 18th.

Weir has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brooke, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-21.

Weir will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grafton at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th. The Red Riders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. Brooke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
