Baseball Recap: King/Drew Has No Trouble Against Los Angeles

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King/Drew). They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the Los Angeles Romans on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Valenzuela, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Elijah Lugo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for King/Drew and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, King/Drew will head out to take on Maywood CES at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. King/Drew is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Los Angeles, they will welcome Stella High Charter Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
