Recap: Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros vs. Eastside Christian Eagles
There's no place like home for the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-7 victory over Eastside Christian at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Rancho Alamitos has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho Alamitos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Timothy Phan, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Phan scored 15 or more points. Inoke Malo was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Rancho Alamitos has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Eastside Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Rancho Alamitos will be home for the holidays to greet Saddleback at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Saddleback focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday. Eastside Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tarbut V' Torah at 4:15 p.m. on December 14th.
