            The Granite City Warriors will venture away from home to  take on the Columbia Eagles  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Granite City's defense heads into the  contest  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. They came out on top against Freeburg by a score of  2-0. That's two games straight that Granite City have won by  exactly two  goals.
 Charlee Schwaller and  Mya McKechan scored both of Granite City's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to three goals.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Monday Columbia sidestepped Waterloo for  a  1-0 victory. Columbia haven't had any issues with Waterloo recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Granite City and  bumps their season record up to 4-3-3. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored six  goals over those two  matchups. As for Columbia, their record is now 9-2-1.
 Granite City skirted past Columbia  4-3 in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the  squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
