Softball Recap: Sachse Takes a Loss

Sachse fell victim to Wylie East and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Raiders. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sachse saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xochitl Mendoza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Sachse moved to 14-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Wylie East, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-8-1.

Sachse and Wylie East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 387th) will meet North Garland (ranked 1013th) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Wylie East will challenge South Garland at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (302 vs. 1051).
