Basketball Recap: Oregon Episcopal Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Oregon Episcopal won the last time they faced Horizon Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Oregon Episcopal Aardvarks came out on top against the Horizon Christian Hawks by a score of 62-52. Given the Aardvarks' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Hawks are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Oregon Episcopal and bumps their season record up to 11-4. As for Horizon Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Oregon Episcopal will challenge Westside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westside Christian will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Oregon Episcopal surely won't give up without a fight. As for Horizon Christian, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Horizon Christian Hawks challenge the Catlin Gabel Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
