Basketball Recap: White Swan's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty, White Swan was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They secured a 59-54 W over the Wellpinit Redskins. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

White Swan's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Wellpinit, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Swan will square off against Lake Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lake Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Wellpinit, they will face off against Oakesdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
